Eagle Bay residents love to have fun and there is always a great turn out to every event. Here are just a few of our feature events. Check the calendar regularly for updates!
Coffee Houses - on hiatus
The Eagle Bay Coffee House takes place on the 4th Saturday in fall, winter and spring. One of many in the Shuswap, the Coffee Houses originated from the early 1970s, where evening events were organized as a project of the Salmon Arm Youth Centre, to provide activities for young people and local musicians. Our Coffee House is the chance for local aspiring musicians to try out performing in front of a live audience by signing up for one of the open mic spots, and the audience to enjoy a featured performer each month. Admission is $2 and light refreshments are available by donation.
Eagle Bay is well known for hamming it up and our most recent event, Olde Fashion Ham Bake is a great example. Delicious food made and served by our amazing volunteers and entertainment by our local theatre troup, The Hamsters.
The Hamsters have been regaling audiences for years and tickets to their annual performance in May of each year sell out quickly. We look forward to the Hamsters returning to the stage in 2022.
Eagle Bay Days - Returning in 2023
Eagle Bay Days has been a tradition in Eagle Bay since the 1940's. Even before the community hall was built, folks would gather in Eagle Bay to celebrate and recreate. Check out the history section on our website to find out more.
Fast forward to today, Eagle Bay Days continues to bring the entire community together. and there is something for everyone. Think old fashioned celebrations and you would be right. Pancake breakfast, cake sales, book sales, music and entertainment. Games for the kids and cool drinks for the adults. While the park construction precludes us from holding Eagle Bay Days this year, Ww are very excited to bring back Eagle Bay Days in 2023!
