Eagle Bay Community Park

The Eagle Bay Community Park is operated by the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) on land owned by the Eagle Bay Community Association.

The Eagle Bay Community Association entered into a Right of Way Agreement with the CSRD in 2018 for the grounds on the south side of the building. This agreement effectively leased the land to the CSRD for park development. The agreement stipulates community input into the park's design, with the CSRD responsible for development costs and maintenance. Since the agreement, various factors, including grant applications and the COVID-19 pandemic, have caused delays and postponements. In April 2022, the CSRD hired a contractor to develop the park. However, further delays due to drainage issues, scheduling conflicts, and engineering studies have pushed back the timeline. We are now in the final stages, awaiting the CSRD to facilitate completion of landscaping. No specific timeline for this work has been provided as yet.

On July 30th 2024 the CSRD announced partial opening of the park. - The playground is now available for public use.  See the CSRD note below for caution regarding safety and landscaping.
